This is just one of a long list of items of what is wrong with Corporate America. We don’t allow people talk to us anymore. If we can get past that confounded voice mail tree, (“If you’re calling to reach a real human, please press 8,”) we don’t want to leave a message. We want to talk with the person we called and not sit around and hope we’re in the good graces enough that we get a phone call back. People who don’t return their messages is a whole other discussion. It is becoming more and more frustrating for people to reach other people by telephone.
Then on Sunday I got an email from my supervisor saying I had to bring in the headset on Monday (that just passed). I was pissed off. Why they couldn’t wait and let me come in just once, on Wednesday, I could not understand.
As ONN V11 uses the nuclear-powered series chip, it’s excellent in the video decoding. It provides perfect decoding of H.264, VC-1, MPEG4 and WMV9. The encapsulation formats are TS, AVI, MP4, MKV, VOB, WMV, RM, RMVB and MOV. The support for MKV has been improved to be as excellent as HTPC.
There are a multitude of attachments for the MP3s and IPODs to make them easier to carry, easier to listen to, and even more convenient. Several portable CD/Radio players are now coming equipped to hook an MP3 or IPOD into and listen to the tunes from there. There are also arm bands, a variety of headphone options, and even some cars are being made equipped to hook these devices up and listen to while driving.
Decide in every situation if it is the best communication tool. Speak in a normal tone of voice as if you were standing with the person on the other end. If you have diminished hearing, install a volume adjuster. It will help you speak at normal volume as well. Business calls can last longer than expected. It will be helpful to have an earphone available so you don’t have to hold the receiver on your shoulder for extended periods. Your neck discomfort might be reflected in your voice tone. Refrain from using the speakerphone option if at all possible. You don’t know how far voices can carry.
